Equine Immune Support
INTRODUCTION As the levels of stress increase on the animals, the immune system often responds less than optimally. The immune system is extremely complex and only partially understood. The tendency among practitioners and clients is to want to stimulate the immune system, but it should not be over stimulated or stimulated for too long a period of time. This formula has been designed to provide the nutrients needed for the immune system to function optimally. In order to repair a defective immune system other therapies may be needed such as herbs (EQUINE TONIC), homeopathy and a trace mineral supplement.
Excessive sugar consumption has been shown to decrease neutrophil phagocytosis1 and many horses are fed large amounts of sweet feed. Thus, diet is an important part of healing the immune system. |
